MSA Varnish with UVLS is a Mineral Spirit based Acrylic resin system that forms a tougher, less permeable film than waterborne acrylic varnishes and can be applied to acrylic, oil and alkyd painted surfaces. It reduces dirt penetration and surface marring, offering an extremely level film with less foam and fewer pinholes. GAC 100 Multi-Purpose Acrylic Polymer is a sealer that helps prevent Support Induced Discoloration (SID) caused by impurities that are drawn up through a substrate as the acrylic paint dries. GAC 100 is also useful for diluting and extending colors, increasing flexibility and film integrity, sizing for fabric and sealing for wood. GAC 100 will wet out solids, including pigments, more readily than other polymers and is useful for artists formulating their own paints.

Light Molding Paste - Over 50% lighter than GOLDEN Molding Paste. This dramatic weight reduction is beneficial in creating large artworks and thick layers of material. Light Molding Paste dries to an opaque, matte finish with good flexibility. It is designed to hold stiff peaks for highly textured surfaces and it blends easily with colors.
Originally developed as a custom product for an artist whose large, abstract paintings were literally ripping the canvas from its stretcher bars. Mixtures made with this lightweight material allow an artist to work larger with less overall weight.
This product has a white, low-density filler that replaces the traditional marble dust. Aside from being much whiter in color than the other molding pastes, Light Molding Paste is approximately 67% lighter by weight! It has a consistency similar to cake icing, easily manipulated by a palette knife. Wonderfully high peaks maintain their height and appearance. The spongy flexibility opens up new possibilities.
Light Molding Paste's unique attributes allow an artist to use this product in new ways. It can be used simply as a lightweight filler for paints, as a white tinting medium or as a ground.

Hard Molding Paste This product is similar to the regular Molding Paste, but develops a much harder film. When dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools, and is readily sandable. It can be used on rigid supports like wood to add designs or texture to the object. Hard Molding Paste can also be mixed with acrylic paints or painted over.
Flexibility can be improved by blending with regular Molding Paste or Regular or Heavy Gel. To minimize the chance of cracking, avoid applying a single layer thicker than 1/4 inch. Multiple layers can be applied to achieve thicker overall applications; this actually facilitates faster drying.
Dries to a extremely hard, opaque film, it is useful for creating tough, durable finishes for smooth or textured surfaces. Once dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools. Blends easily with acrylic colors. Note: Packaging design may vary. -
Molding Paste (Regular) GOLDEN Molding Paste is similar to the consistency of GOLDEN Heavy Gels, yet the marble dust solids impart a unique feel due to the material's higher density. It is an opaque gray product that dries to a semi-gloss sheen.
When used alone or mixed with other products, such as GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics, it offers a hard yet flexible film. Capable of holding good peaks, Molding Paste is excellent for building surfaces or creating textures.

OPEN Acrylics are a slow-drying paint with a slightly softer consistency than our Heavy Body paints. The increased working time of these colors expands their range to include more traditional techniques once only possible with oils. Thick applications can dry extremely slowly, so we recommend artists only use OPEN Colors thinly (< 1 mm). Drying time can also be accelerated by mixing OPEN with faster-drying acrylics like our Fluid and Heavy Body colors. The slow-drying capability of OPEN Acrylics also makes the suitable for some printmaking techniques. Because OPEN Acrylics dry slowly, painters who cover their palettes or use sealed containers have been able to use the same colors for weeks, reducing the amount of paint wasted and preserving color mixtures for future use. -

Isolation Coat is a ready-to-use sealing coat for acrylic paintings. Previously acrylic artists’ only recourse was to dilute Soft Gel Gloss with water (our former and still acceptable recommendation) before applying it to completed acrylic artwork. Isolation Coat eliminates the need to measure and mix while increasing flow and leveling. Isolation coat is a permanent acrylic medium that seals surface absorbency and allows for improved varnish application and easier varnish removal. Apply one or more layers before varnishing. -
Satin Glazing Liquid [formerly Acrylic Glazing Liquid (Satin)] can be mixed with GOLDEN Acrylic colors to create glazes for fine art as well as interior application on walls or furniture. The slow drying formula provides sufficient working time for a wide variety of glaze and decorative finishes normally accomplished with oils. It is also excellent for soft transitions and color blending in paintings. Available in Gloss and Satin.
