    MSA Varnish with UVLS is a Mineral Spirit based Acrylic resin system that forms a tougher, less permeable film than water­borne acrylic varnishes and can be applied to acrylic, oil and alkyd painted surfaces. It reduces dirt penetration and surface marring, offering an ex­treme­ly level film with less foam and fewer pin­holes. It is removable with Mineral Spirits after drying and is recommended for interior or exterior use. Not for use by children.

    Galkyd Lite thins oil colors and increases transparency and gloss. When used in moderation with oil colors, Galkyd Lite will retain brushstrokes. Galkyd Lite is more fluid and less glossy compared to Galkyd. Thin layers will be touch-dry in 24 to 30 hours.

This may also be visible with the colour chart, since the pans in the set are certainly from a different batch than the one which is used for painting the colour chart (the pans you get are not used, of course). These two pigments, especially the sienna, can even change within one pan and show different colour on top of the pan than in lower layers. These discrepancies do not change the quality and the value of these paints.

    Black Gessos are ready-to-use formulations for painting on most surfaces. They are flexible and can be applied in thin layers to conform to a variey to textures without cracking. For oil painting, we recommended that at least three layers of gesso. Gesso can be mixed with acrylic colors to produce a range of colored grounds.

  • Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil is the palest of linseed oils. Adding Refined Linseed Oil to colors increases flow and slows dry times. Use sparingly or mix with an equal amount Gamsol to create a traditional slow-drying, low-viscosity painting medium.

  • Molding Paste (Regular) GOLDEN Molding Paste is similar to the consistency of GOLDEN Heavy Gels, yet the marble dust solids impart a unique feel due to the material's higher density. It is an opaque gray product that dries to a semi-gloss sheen.

    When used alone or mixed with other products, such as GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics, it offers a hard yet flexible film. Capable of holding good peaks, Molding Paste is excellent for building surfaces or creating textures.
