GAC 100 Multi-Purpose Acrylic Polymer is a sealer that helps prevent Support Induced Discoloration (SID) caused by impurities that are drawn up through a substrate as the acrylic paint dries. GAC 100 is also useful for diluting and extending colors, increasing flexibility and film integrity, sizing for fabric and sealing for wood. GAC 100 will wet out solids, including pigments, more readily than other polymers and is useful for artists formulating their own paints.

Wetting Agent [formerly Acrylic Flow Release] is a concentrated additive used to reduce surface tension of the water in the acrylic emulsion, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is effective for achieving rich stains on a porous surface. As with OPEN Thinner and Retarder, Wetting Agent contains no binder and should only be used properly diluted per product instructions. Not for use by children. Eye Irritant. Inhalation of Spray Mist Harmful. DO NOT SPRAY APPLY

Absorbent Ground is a fluid acrylic medium that dries to a porous, paper-like surface. Applied over gessoed canvas, it facilitates raw canvas-like staining and watercolor effects. Lightfast, permanent and flexible. This is a Health Labeled (HL) Product, and not for use by children.

Black Gessos are ready-to-use formulations for painting on most surfaces. They are flexible and can be applied in thin layers to conform to a variey to textures without cracking. For oil painting, we recommended that at least three layers of gesso. Gesso can be mixed with acrylic colors to produce a range of colored grounds.

Light Molding Paste - Over 50% lighter than GOLDEN Molding Paste. This dramatic weight reduction is beneficial in creating large artworks and thick layers of material. Light Molding Paste dries to an opaque, matte finish with good flexibility. It is designed to hold stiff peaks for highly textured surfaces and it blends easily with colors.
Originally developed as a custom product for an artist whose large, abstract paintings were literally ripping the canvas from its stretcher bars. Mixtures made with this lightweight material allow an artist to work larger with less overall weight.
This product has a white, low-density filler that replaces the traditional marble dust. Aside from being much whiter in color than the other molding pastes, Light Molding Paste is approximately 67% lighter by weight! It has a consistency similar to cake icing, easily manipulated by a palette knife. Wonderfully high peaks maintain their height and appearance. The spongy flexibility opens up new possibilities.
Light Molding Paste's unique attributes allow an artist to use this product in new ways. It can be used simply as a lightweight filler for paints, as a white tinting medium or as a ground.

Coarse Molding Paste - thick, warm white colored medium, translucent up to about 1/8 inch thickness. Dries to a hard, stiff but flexible film with a tooth like fine sandpaper. Accepts wet and dry media very well. Mix with Fluid or Heavy Body Acrylics to create dense paint that holds good peaks and dries matte to satin with a finely pebbled surface.

Hard Molding Paste This product is similar to the regular Molding Paste, but develops a much harder film. When dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools, and is readily sandable. It can be used on rigid supports like wood to add designs or texture to the object. Hard Molding Paste can also be mixed with acrylic paints or painted over.
Flexibility can be improved by blending with regular Molding Paste or Regular or Heavy Gel. To minimize the chance of cracking, avoid applying a single layer thicker than 1/4 inch. Multiple layers can be applied to achieve thicker overall applications; this actually facilitates faster drying.
Dries to a extremely hard, opaque film, it is useful for creating tough, durable finishes for smooth or textured surfaces. Once dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools. Blends easily with acrylic colors. Note: Packaging design may vary. -
Molding Paste (Regular) GOLDEN Molding Paste is similar to the consistency of GOLDEN Heavy Gels, yet the marble dust solids impart a unique feel due to the material's higher density. It is an opaque gray product that dries to a semi-gloss sheen.
When used alone or mixed with other products, such as GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics, it offers a hard yet flexible film. Capable of holding good peaks, Molding Paste is excellent for building surfaces or creating textures.
Excellent for building surfaces and creating textures. Dries to a hard, yet flexible, opaque film. Blends with colors to tint and extend paint. Note: Packaging design may vary. -
Crackle Paste is a thick, opaque material that cracks as it dries. The size and extent of the cracking pattern depends on the thickness of application, and environmental conditions during drying and other factors. Dries to an opaque, matte finish, with an absorbent surface suitable for acrylic paints and mediums. Note: Packaging design may vary.

Clear Tar Gel has a pully, tar-like feel, but in a clear, colorless gel. This extremely resinous and stringy consistency makes it feel very different from other acrylic gels. Useful for generating fine detailed lines by "dripping" it over surfaces, as it continuously flows from palette knives or other tools. It blends well with all GOLDEN Acrylic colors, although Fluid Colors work best. Note: Packaging design may vary.

The GOLDEN Interference Colors achieve their reflective properties by synthetically reproducing a natural phenomenon-the nacreous, or pearlescent, quality found in fish scales, peacock feathers or the dust of a butterfly's wing. Golden produces 6 Fluid Interference Colors and four Interference Oxide Colors in Fine consistency only. All of GOLDEN's Interference Colors produce a luster quality by themselves, or when mixed with other colors and mediums.
-
The Fluid Iridescent Colors are one of the most unique products available to artists today. They are well-known for their luster quality and offer highly reflective metallic variations. They can be used alone or mixed with other GOLDEN colors. Adding glossy gels or mediums to Iridescent colors will also increase their luster quality. Most of the Iridescent Acrylics are made from mica particles coated with Titanium Dioxide and are very resistant to fading. Some are made from metal and metal oxides, such as Iridescent Stainless Steel and Micaceous Iron Oxide. The Iridescent acrylics will not oxidize or tarnish since they are made from stainless steel, naturally occurring minerals such as mica, or fully oxidized materials.

Equal the intensity of GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics but with an even, flowing characteristic useful for dry brush application, fine details, pouring, spraying (particularly when mixed with GOLDEN Airbrush Medium), staining techniques and many others. Fluids are created by loading an acrylic polymer binder with concentrated levels of quality pigments for a wide selection of permanent and lightfast colors. No fillers or extenders are added to achieve the desired consistency, nor is the fluid quality achieved with additional water. GOLDEN Fluid Acrylics have the same pigment load as the Heavy Body Acrylics, but in a viscosity similar to heavy cream. Fluids allow for smooth flowing applications while retaining color intensity, tinting strength, film integrity, and adhesion. Fluids blend easily with all acrylic colors, and readily tint gels, mediums, gessoes and grounds. Fluid Acrylics are extremely versatile, and ideal for fine brushwork, glazing, staining, water media techniques and many more. Mix Fluid Acrylics with Airbrush Medium for airbrush application of artwork including textiles.
