These paints are unique because they use casein, a protein derived from cow’s milk, as a binder, supplied by the Morinaga milk and confectionary company. This results in a beautifully textured, antique, matte finish that comes in 16 colors.

The GOLDEN Interference Colors achieve their reflective properties by synthetically reproducing a natural phenomenon-the nacreous, or pearlescent, quality found in fish scales, peacock feathers or the dust of a butterfly's wing. Golden produces 6 Fluid Interference Colors and four Interference Oxide Colors in Fine consistency only. All of GOLDEN's Interference Colors produce a luster quality by themselves, or when mixed with other colors and mediums.

Cracking Medium is used to achieve a cracked paint effect. This may be used between two layers of Turner Milk Paint so that the cracks will take the color of the base layer. First paint the base layer and let dry completely, then apply the Cracking Medium. While it’s still slightly sticky, apply the second layer and wait for the cracking to take effect as it dries.
