MTN PRO Wash Primer is a grey anchoring primer with excellent adhesion to galvanized, electrozinced steel or aluminum and other types of polished metals. Phosphate Primer (Wash Primer) is especially designed as a preliminary coat for the subsequent painting of garage doors, shutters, aluminum frames and copper pipes. It can be used as a primer for nylon 6 plastic surfaces, carbon fiber, epoxy, polyester, acrylate, PVC, PC and ABS. Thanks to its characteristics, the product also offers good anchoring properties on surfaces already painted with polyester-type paints (aluminum frames) or 2k epoxy after sanding. Isolation Coat is a ready-to-use sealing coat for acrylic paintings. Previously acrylic artists’ only recourse was to dilute Soft Gel Gloss with water (our former and still acceptable recommendation) before applying it to completed acrylic artwork. Isolation Coat eliminates the need to measure and mix while increasing flow and leveling. Isolation coat is a permanent acrylic medium that seals surface absorbency and allows for improved varnish application and easier varnish removal. Apply one or more layers before varnishing. -

Viarco ArtGraf Watercolor Graphite has an interesting and very expressive graphic personality offering the artist an extensive scale of graphite greys that range from the deep blacks to more subtle, brighter and more transparent ones. Wet the brush directly on the product controlling the amount of water according to the desired shades. Brush is not included. -

OPEN Acrylics are a slow-drying paint with a slightly softer consistency than our Heavy Body paints. The increased working time of these colors expands their range to include more traditional techniques once only possible with oils. Thick applications can dry extremely slowly, so we recommend artists only use OPEN Colors thinly (< 1 mm). Drying time can also be accelerated by mixing OPEN with faster-drying acrylics like our Fluid and Heavy Body colors. The slow-drying capability of OPEN Acrylics also makes the suitable for some printmaking techniques. Because OPEN Acrylics dry slowly, painters who cover their palettes or use sealed containers have been able to use the same colors for weeks, reducing the amount of paint wasted and preserving color mixtures for future use. Hard Molding Paste This product is similar to the regular Molding Paste, but develops a much harder film. When dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools, and is readily sandable. It can be used on rigid supports like wood to add designs or texture to the object. Hard Molding Paste can also be mixed with acrylic paints or painted over.
Flexibility can be improved by blending with regular Molding Paste or Regular or Heavy Gel. To minimize the chance of cracking, avoid applying a single layer thicker than 1/4 inch. Multiple layers can be applied to achieve thicker overall applications; this actually facilitates faster drying.
Dries to a extremely hard, opaque film, it is useful for creating tough, durable finishes for smooth or textured surfaces. Once dry, it can be carved with hand or power tools. Blends easily with acrylic colors. Note: Packaging design may vary. -
Coarse Molding Paste - thick, warm white colored medium, translucent up to about 1/8 inch thickness. Dries to a hard, stiff but flexible film with a tooth like fine sandpaper. Accepts wet and dry media very well. Mix with Fluid or Heavy Body Acrylics to create dense paint that holds good peaks and dries matte to satin with a finely pebbled surface.

Light Molding Paste - Over 50% lighter than GOLDEN Molding Paste. This dramatic weight reduction is beneficial in creating large artworks and thick layers of material. Light Molding Paste dries to an opaque, matte finish with good flexibility. It is designed to hold stiff peaks for highly textured surfaces and it blends easily with colors.
Originally developed as a custom product for an artist whose large, abstract paintings were literally ripping the canvas from its stretcher bars. Mixtures made with this lightweight material allow an artist to work larger with less overall weight.
This product has a white, low-density filler that replaces the traditional marble dust. Aside from being much whiter in color than the other molding pastes, Light Molding Paste is approximately 67% lighter by weight! It has a consistency similar to cake icing, easily manipulated by a palette knife. Wonderfully high peaks maintain their height and appearance. The spongy flexibility opens up new possibilities.
Light Molding Paste's unique attributes allow an artist to use this product in new ways. It can be used simply as a lightweight filler for paints, as a white tinting medium or as a ground.

White Gessos are ready-to-use formulations for painting on most surfaces. They are flexible and can be applied in thin layers to conform to a variey to textures without cracking. For oil painting, we recommended that at least three layers of gesso. Gesso can be mixed with acrylic colors to produce a range of colored grounds.

GAC 100 Multi-Purpose Acrylic Polymer is a sealer that helps prevent Support Induced Discoloration (SID) caused by impurities that are drawn up through a substrate as the acrylic paint dries. GAC 100 is also useful for diluting and extending colors, increasing flexibility and film integrity, sizing for fabric and sealing for wood. GAC 100 will wet out solids, including pigments, more readily than other polymers and is useful for artists formulating their own paints.

GAC 500 Extends Fluid Acrylics for a unique balance of film hardness and flexibility offering increased leveling, increased mar resistance and decreased dry film tack. GAC 500 is particularly useful for extending Fluid Acrylic Colors with minimal property change. It can be mixed with Airbrush Transparent Extender for a fast-drying, sprayable isolation coat.

GAC 800 is a low-crazing extender for pouring acrylic colors. "Crazing" is the formation crevices in surfaces that develop as acrylic paints and mediums dry. The addition of GAC 800 promotes drying with a smooth, even film, good gloss and flexibility, but with moderate clarity. GAC 800 is also useful for adhesion to chalky surfaces.
